My Story

Hi. I'm Maria, a UX designer with a background in social sciences. My ambition is to help small and medium-sized companies uncover user needs and translate them into meaningful web or mobile experiences through effective user research and UX conception.

Previously, I worked in collaboration with team members at Refugee Aid to address needs and issues of people in uncertain situations. After some time, I wanted to apply my research skills and creativity to build digital products that could solve people's problems on a larger scale. This led me to transition to UX design.

Currently, I'm working with team members to improve the user experience for an innovative product that helps caregivers find fulfilling work and improves working conditions in the care industry.

In my day-to-day work, I make sure that our digital products are simpler and more intuitive to use, so that users can find their way around the product more easily. This ensures that users can quickly and effectively find the right jobs and caregivers for their needs.

Play

When I'm not designing, I enjoy street photography, reading and playing guitar. Street photography not only brings me joy, but also enriches my design perspective by teaching me to be open to the unknown, to empathize more with people, and to pay attention to detail. In the Shapes of Grey series below, I explored the geometry of light and shadows.
